Air Fryer Basket Liners: Are they worth the expense?

If you have an air fryer you’re aware that there are tons of accessories for air frying that claim to simplify your life. Basket liners for air fryers aren’t an exception. Are they worth the investment or is it simply a marketing gimmick? In the next article, we from airfrying.net will share our experiences with the air fryer basket lines and provide you with the advantages and disadvantages of these baskets.

Air fryer liners – Why are they important?

The appeal of basketliners is obvious.

The liners, which are typically comprised of parchment paper are a perfect fit for the bottom of the air fryer. They’re designed to keep food from sticking to base of the pan. Additionally to that, the silicon or parchment liners are also designed to prevent burning. It’s a bit similar to baking them in an oven to ensure that you don’t burn the bottom of the cookies! Additionally, many companies say that liners can make cleanup easy.

But do they work?

In the end, I’d be a definite yes.

Personally, I enjoy use the basket liners particularly when air frying “baked” products or meats. I’d never used them before, however we were fortunate enough to get a free package, and I’ll be sure to purchase them next time I need to purchase.

The rationale behind this is twofold.

First, I’ve found that the liners for parchment baskets keep foods from sticking on the surface of the container. This is particularly true in the case of cooking meals. For instance when I air fry chicken wings, I’ve discovered that the meat sticks at the base. This results in an unclean air fryer that has chicken pieces clogging the vent holes of the basket. Additionally when using marinades or sticky sauces while baking, parchment can help in reducing sticking.

Second, basket liners prevent burning. Baked items such as pastries and cookies may be brown at the bottom, and the liners offer an easier and healthier option instead of lubricating the basket using shortening.

Also, air fryer basket liner liners help with cleaning up, based on the type of food you’re cooking. There is still cleanup associated with air-frying food items such as meats. But, the basket liners keep items from sticking in the food, so it helps lessen the time spent scrubbing. In the case of certain foods, like baked potatoes or cookies the basket liners keep it free of food particles during the cooking process and needs just a wash after each the use.
