Essential Alicante Airport Guide

Alicante Airport can be found on the Costa Blanca, in the region of El Altet. That is approx nine KM from Alicante centre. In April 2011 Alicante opened its brand spanking new airport to manage the increased passengers.

Alicante Airport has become a grand operation and is an enjoyable update on the prior airport. Alicante is an incredibly popular location and travellers arrive from around the globe. The brand new terminal has been started to be able to manage the increasing number of passengers and also to give a far more contemporary entry into probably the most beautiful areas of Spain. The airport is very active over the summer months, when the promise of warm sunshine, lazy beaches and sizzling cocktails pull inside the travelers!

The Airport has stunning contemporary architecture and it’s comfortable, clean, and pleasant.

You exit the plane of yours using a moveable walkway. Based on the place you exit from there’s rather a stroll from the airplane through to the area that you simply collect the baggage of yours.

The thing I am going to say about our very first trip to the brand new Airport is it was definitely spotless, which I am hoping comes across in these pictures.

TIP: There’s rather a stroll from the airplane on the baggage collection point. There’s NOT a bathroom between the 2 areas. When you get to the baggage collection time you will find toilets at one end of the baggage collection hall and a different pair of toliets directly at the opposite end. My tip is going before getting off the plane!

As you exit the baggage collection area there’re some info points about the Alicante airport taxis and also Alicante airport buses.

In case you click the picture on the left hand side you’ll be brought to a bigger picture in which you are able to see-the schedule much more clearly. Please note that this’s from August 2011 and isn’t kept up to date. Please see the ALSA site for up to date info.

There was in addition a discount vouchers being passed out for Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, Aqua Natura – in case they’re there if you pass through then do make sure to get them in case you’re thinking about going to these attractions.

Once through the doors you’re in the primary Arrivals area. Here’s where you are able to access your car hire or maybe relatives, friends are able to collect you. Do pre-book the car of yours, it’s well worth it!

Traveler Information

The Tourist Information booth is situated directly outside the Arrivals point. When we showed up in the evening the Information booth was closed. Generally there was however a little Information stand situated on the left of the Arrivals.

The Airport is conveniently situated next to the primary roads the A7, the N340 and A31. When you’ve collected the baggage of yours you are going to find that in a couple of minutes you are able to be on these roads, making your way North or perhaps South, checking out the delights of Spain.

A lot of the junctions between Benidorm and Alicante have had their numbers changed and wouldn’t correspond to the map of yours. Our suggestion is staying on the AP7 for Valencia also you are going to be okay! The exit of yours is going to be clearly signposted, it’s simply the numbers which have changed!

Terminal Transfers

Organising your transfer is incredibly essential to ensure your holiday begins on the proper foot! Every time we reach the airport the kids have typically pushed me to distraction, we’re all exhausted, frazzled and simply wish to reach the destination of ours as safely and quickly as you can! I constantly ensure therefore, I’ve organised the transfer of ours to our holiday apartment well ahead of time.

There are many transfer choices offered at the Airport and I run through them along with you and also with any luck , the transfer of yours from Alicante airport to the desired destination of yours will be as sleek as is possible.
